A Boy(man) with a mission

Born in 2006 and diagnosed at age seven with dyslexia, Elijah has never let this hold him back. Taking a keen interest in Bees at age 8 he got his first hive at the tender age of 11. 

Although the academic side of school is a challenge, Elijah more than compensates with a vibrant personality and a work ethic rarely found is people so young. At age 13, Elijah started assisting as a farm hand on weekends and school holidays at Big Little Farm. Never one to shy away from any task, he is more than happy to shovel cow pats or operate power tools and machinery.

As a pathway into adult life, Big Little Farm in Silvan is supporting him to establish his own bee keeping and honey supply business. Elijah receives 50% of all profits with the plan that he eventually takes over all aspects of the business. Such a path will be challenging but we have full faith in his ability and will be by his side with every step, as are his wonderful parents Jason and Michelle.
